Strandwolf's aim

Strandwolf reprints and republishs works of African literature that are out of print. Its aim is to decolonize the cultural landscape of South Africa. With this we hope to produce an iconic design that will be recognized by readers as both classic and contemporary. Our books

To date we have republished Olive Schreiner’s Trooper Peter Halket of Mashonaland which unmasks Cecil John Rhodes’ atrocities in what is now Zimbabwe. Alongside this we have republished an entirely new and unique edition of Sol Plaatje’s iconic Mhudi. This merges the two different edits of the book into one. We will soon be adding to this so watch this space!
